Built Around Your Manufacturing Process
Every pipe production operation presents unique material handling and throughput challenges. Gibson works closely with manufacturers to design blasting systems that integrate seamlessly into existing production lines while maximizing cleaning performance and minimizing manual handling.
From standalone pipe blasting systems to fully automated production lines with bundle loading, skew roller conveying, and automated unloading, Gibson engineers complete wheel blast solutions that help manufacturers improve productivity, maintain consistent surface quality, and support continuous manufacturing.
Important Application Considerations
Pipe Wheel Blast Systems are specifically engineered for round and cylindrical products.
Unlike standard roller conveyor systems, skew rollers rotate the pipe while advancing it through the blast chamber, ensuring complete circumferential coverage. This makes pipe blast systems the preferred solution for applications where uniform cleaning around the entire outside diameter is required.
During system design, Gibson carefully evaluates pipe diameter, length, wall thickness, and production speed to determine the optimal conveyor arrangement and blast wheel configuration. Larger diameter pipe may require multiple blast wheels to maintain consistent cleaning performance across the full circumference.
For structural steel, flat plate, and fabricated components that do not require rotational movement, Gibson Roller Conveyor Wheel Blast Systems are typically the more appropriate solution.
